03/16/11, Officers received a report concerning criminal mischief at a job site near the Industrial Park. Officers are working on leads.
03/19/11, Officers secured an apparent abandoned bike from the intersection of County Road 10 and Highway 135.
03/21/11, Officers received a report from a resident of Gunnison County concerning a scam that is anchored out of country. In exchange for paying handling fees and taxes up front, the victim was sent several U.S. Postal Money Orders that turned out to be counterfeit.
Officers conducted a civil assist at an address near West Tomichi Avenue where individuals were being evicted.
Officers assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a two-car accident near the 172-mile mark of Highway 50.
03/23/11, Officers assisted the Colorado State Patrol and the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office with closure of Highway 114 after a tractor/trailer fire.
03/25/11, Officers assisted the Gunnison Police Department with a warrant arrest of a male at an address near the 300-block of 2nd Street. The arrest went without complications.
Officers, Montrose EMT and Montrose Fire responded to a structure fire near County Road 858, Cimarron. A secondary structure was a total loss. At this point it appears that this is an accidental fire—the investigation continues.
Officers were dispatched to a location east of Gunnison near Highway 50 regarding the welfare of a possibly suicidal male. The male was later discovered in Salida.
03/26/11, Officers arrested a 20-year-old female on a Larimer County warrant. The warrant was for failure to appear and bore a $1,500 bond.
