Due resigns from town’s public works

Heading to South Carolina

by Mark Reaman

Crested Butte public works director Rodney Due submitted his resignation to the town late last week. He has accepted the job of district manager for Fripp Island, South Carolina. He will essentially be the town manager of the private island community.

Due started work as Crested Butte’s pubic works director in 2008. He had relocated from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Due will leave his Crested Butte position June 5 and begin his new job June 15.

“It was not an easy decision,” he said. “This is a great place but this opportunity is one too good to pass up.”
