—REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL—
FOR AN INTEGRATED PROJECT DELIVERY METHOD UTILIZING
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT/GENERAL CONTRACTING SERVICES
The Crested Butte Fire Protection District (District) is soliciting the submittal of proposals from Construction Management/General Contracting (CM/GC) firms to provide services for the construction of an addition to the Mt. Crested Butte Fire Station.
Selection and award of this project will be based on a combination of qualifications and cost that represents the best overall value to the District.
Minimum Requirements: Notice is hereby given to all interested parties that all firms will be required to meet minimum qualifications to be considered for this project.  To be considered as qualified, interested firms shall have, at a minimum:
• Provided Construction Management/General Contracting services within the last three (3) years for at least two (2) projects each in excess of $1 million; and,
• Demonstrated specific Construction Management/General Contracting experience in governmental project types of similar scale and complexity; and,
• Demonstrated bonding capacity up to $1 million for an individual project and provide a letter from a surety firm that affirms this capability.
Scope of Services: The scope of services will include assistance to the District during the process of design, engineering, development of construction drawings and construction. The District currently has a design approved by the Town of Mt. Crested Butte and will provide a soils engineering report. Specific task to be performed by the CM/GC include those generally performed by the CM/GC community where the Construction Manager is also the contractor. Examples of, but not limited to, the services to be provided by the CM/GC are:
• Review architectural drawings.
• Interview architect, Board of Directors and staff to learn about interior finishes and systems.
• Oversee development of structural, mechanical and electrical engineering plans.
• Oversee development of landscaping, drainage, irrigation and paving plans.
• Oversee development of the final construction drawings.
• Advise the District on cost effective construction methods.
• A Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will be required at the completion of the Design Development phase.
Submittal Requirements:
• Provide an AIA Form A305.
• Identify the specific individuals that will be involved with the project.
• State the roles of each team member and provide an organization chart.
• List other projects completed recently in the Crested Butte area.
• List similar projects done on a CM/GC basis including the contract amounts and the name and contact information of the owner.
• Describe the process you envision from the completion of design development through construction.
• Provide a statement as to when you believe it is advisable to finalize the GMP.
• Describe other services you could provide that would be of benefit to the District.

MT. CRESTED BUTTE WATER AND SANITATION DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that a proposed budget has been submitted to the Board of Directors of the Mt. Crested Butte Water and Sanitation District of the year of 2008.  That a copy of said proposed budget has been filed at the District’s office, 100 Gothic Road, Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado  81225, where the same is open for public inspection.  That said proposed budget will be considered at a regular meeting of the Mt. Crested Butte Water and Sanitation District to be held at 100 Gothic Road, Mt. Crested Butte, CO  on Tuesday the 13th day of November, 2007 at 5:00 P.M.  Any interested elector of the Mt. Crested Butte Water and Sanitation District may inspect the proposed budget and file or register any objections thereto at any time prior to the final adoption of the budget.

NOTICE OF FILING

Crested Butte Mountain Educational Radio, Inc., gives notice that on October 19, 2007, it filed an application (FCC Form 340) with the Federal Communications Commission for a permit to construct a new Class A noncommercial FM station to be licensed to Almont, Colorado. The station proposes to operate on 91.7 MHz with 0.15 kW of operating power, with an antenna height of 12 meters from a site located at NL 38/42/47; WL 106/48/36 the main studio will be located in Crested Butte, CO.

—INVITATION TO BID—
Sealed bids will be received by Skyland Metropolitan District (Owner) for the Lake Grant Dredging Restoration Project until 5:00 pm Mountain Standard Time on November 26th, 2007 at 350 Country Club Drive, Suite 112A, Crested Butte, Colorado 81224, Attn: Frank Alfone, District Manager.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF WORK
The purpose of the Project is to deepen a portion of Lake Grant to reduce excessive weed growth and restore its decreed capacity for water storage.  The work includes:
1) Removal of sediment from the lake bottom in a designated portion of the lake to achieve the new shoreline and lake bottom configuration shown on the Dredging Plan.
2) Temporary stockpiling of wetland plants and soil from designated access routes along the lake shoreline.
3) Replacement of stockpiled wetland plants and soils to access routes and restoration of the routes following completion of sediment removal from the lake.
4) Disposal of lake sediments at designated disposal areas shown on the Sediment Disposal Plan.
5) Construction and maintenance of measures for water quality protection throughout the construction period.
The work will be completed during late fall and winter of 2007-2008. The water level of Lake Grant will be lowered prior to the work so that work areas will not be under water and will be "dry" to the extent possible.

QUALIFICATIONS
The Contractor is not required to submit a statement of qualifications along with the bid, but should be prepared to demonstrate their experience for completing the project if asked by the District.
OWNER’S RESERVATION AND AWARD
This solicitation for bids may be cancelled by the District and any bid may be rejected in whole or in part for good cause when in the best interests of the District.  The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept what is in its judgement the best bid.
BID GUARANTEE
Only a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond will serve as an acceptable bid guarantee.  If a bid bond is used, it must be on the form provided in the Contract Documents.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Directors of the District will consider the proposed 2007 amended budget and the proposed 2008 budget.  That a copy of such 2007 proposed amended budget and the proposed 2008 budget has been filed in the office of Crested Butte South Metropolitan District, 280 Cement Creek Road, Crested Butte, Co. where the same is open for public inspection.  That such 2007 proposed amended budget and the 2008 proposed budget will be considered at the regular meeting of the Crested Butte South Metropolitan District to be held at 280 Cement Creek Road, on Wednesday the 28th, day of November 2007 at 6:00 p.m.
Any interested elector of the Crested Butte South Metropolitan District may inspect the 2007 proposed amended budget and the 2008 proposed budget and file or register any objection thereto at any time prior to the final adoption of the budgets by the Board of Directors.
