The Mt. SAC Relays is one of the premier track meets in the country, attracting the top athletes at the high school, collegiate and professional level.
It was an exciting weekend for Bosshard, running with his future teammates at the University of Colorado and putting on an electrifying show for the spectators to watch.
Bosshard made a strong impression on his future coach at CU by coming in first in the recruiting class of the future Buffalos at the top meet.
Bosshard delivered in a big way in the 3,200-meter run with a personal record time of 9:11.04 to take second place among the high school invitational elite runners. Bosshard set another personal record in the 1600-meter event with a time of 4:22.12.
Coburn had a huge weekend as well and put on a great performance before her future teammates and coach at CU.
She opened the weekend tying her personal record in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:16.12 to finish in ninth place overall.
Two hours later she posted her best time in the 1600-meter race, placing fourth with a time of 5:09.00.
“Emma is coming around nicely after a long impressive basketball season,” says coach Trent Sanderson. “We are getting closer and closer on getting Emma to run like she ‘stole something.’ A great round of applause for both of these incredible athletes to step up on such a big stage and embrace the pressure like that.”
