—NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING—
REGARDING PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IN THE MARBLE SKI AREA, FILING 4,
 near MARBLE, COLORADO

The Board of County Commissioners of Gunnison County, Colorado, will hold a public hearing regarding the petition filed by Leonard & Mindy Langston to vacate a portion of a certain street in the Marble Ski Area, Filing 4 near Marble, Colorado.  The street that the petitioner seeks to have vacated is described as follows: That portion of West Village Drive adjacent to Lots 1, 2 3 and 7, inclusive, Marble Ski Area, Filing 4, specifically commencing at the southwest corner of Lot 7 traveling southerly directly across West Village Drive and along the eastern edge of Tract 1, Slate Creek Drainage right-of-way, then easterly along the northern boundaries of Lots 3, 2 and 1 to the northeast corner of Lot 1 then northerly directly across West Village Drive and along the western boundary of Tract B, Marble Ski Area, Filing 4 to the southern boundary line of Prospector Trail, then westerly along the northern line of West Village Drive and the Southern line of Prospector Trail as they intersect and  along the southern boundary of Lot 7 to the southwest corner of Lot 7; and That half of Prospector Trail adjacent to Lot 7, Marble Ski Area, Filing 4, County of Gunnison,

The Gunnison County Public Works Department is requesting bids on a new 2008 Mobile Integrated Tool Carrier Type 4×4 Backhoe.  Bid packets may be picked up at the Gunnison County Public Works Department, 811 Rio Grande Avenue, Gunnison, CO during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Any questions regarding this bid may be directed to Lee Partch at (970) 641-0044. The Board of County Commissioners of Gunnison County, Colorado, will hold on a public hearing regarding the petition filed by Cody Dyce to vacate a certain alley in the Townsite of Ohio City, Colorado.  The alley that the petitioner seeks to have vacated is described as follows: The east west alley lying adjacent to Lots 1 through 5, inclusive, Block B, Stephenson’s Addition, Town of Ohio City, County of Gunnison, State of Colorado The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Room, Gunnison County Courthouse, 200 East Virginia Avenue, Gunnison, Colorado.  The public is invited to attend and participate. /s/  Marlene Crosby, Public Works Director

—INVITATION TO BID—
The County of Gunnison, Colorado, will receive sealed bids for the Design and Construction of a 40’ x 60’ steel building at the Gunnison County Public Works Department, 811 Rio Grande Avenue, Gunnison, Colorado, until 4:00 p.m. June 5, 2008.  The project is called the Facilities and Maintenance Storage Building Project.  All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Gunnison County Public Works Conference Room, at the above place and time.
The pertinent features of this project include the design and construction of a 40’ x 60’ steel building to be used for storage of equipment, tools and furniture.  The facility will be located on the south end of the Fred R. Field Western Heritage Center.
The Contract Documents will be available beginning on May 21, 2008 for a non-refundable cost of $20.00 per set.  The Contract Documents may be obtained in person at the following location from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays: 
Gunnison County Public Works Department, 811 Rio Grande Avenue, Gunnison, CO 81230, (970) 641-0044.
The Contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder which in the sole discretion of the County is deemed to be in the best interest of the County.  The County reserves the right to accept the bid by a competent bidder that in the County’s opinions will be in the County’s best interest.  The County reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without disclosing the reason therefore.
No bids may be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without consent of Gunnison County, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening of bids.  The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish satisfactory performance bonds equal to the full amount of each bid or proposal.
