Pagan Pedal showcases collegiate mountain biking talent

WSCU in the house

Western State Colorado University (WSCU) Mountain Sports hosted the first ever Pagan Pedal Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference (RMCCC) mountain bike races at CBMR this past weekend.
More than 120 college students competed in the four collegiate disciplines of cross country, dual, short track and downhill.
WSCU Mountain Sports was well-represented in Division 2 with Owen Tulip and Colin Picket finishing in the top spots in the downhill, while Graham Ruhman posted a win in short track and second in the cross country. Ben Jackson finished third in cross country. With the help of CBMR, WSCU Mountain Sports established a new quality benchmark for RMCCC racing.
This coming weekend, the team travels to Sol Vista near Granby for the Oredigger MTB Challenge hosted by Colorado School of Mines. For more information about WSCU Mountain Sports, contact team director Dave Wiens at [email protected].
