The Crested Butte Avalanche Center (CBAC), Crested Butte Mountain Guides (CBMG) and The Alpineer will host a “Beacon Brush Up” on Saturday, December 1 in the Crested Butte Town Park.
This event is free and open to the public from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. The Alpineer will host a gathering from 3 to 6 p.m. with free food, beer, more demos and discounts on all avalanche-related products.
Forecasters from the CBAC and guides from CBMG will be on hand to offer instruction for beginner and advanced backcountry users.
Beacon courses will be set up for practice and demonstrations and industry reps will be on hand to demo new beacons and avalanche airbags and update your beacons.
