Chodounsky posts top World Cup result of career

Next stop Wengen

David Chodounsky, product of both the Crested Butte Ski Club and the Crested Butte Academy, is having one of his best seasons of racing of his career.
Chodounsky posted a 15th-place finish at a World Cup slalom race at Val d’Isere back at the start of December. He had a tough go at a World Cup stop in Italy, but recovered to battle fog and some rain in Zagreb, Croatia to post an 18th-place finish on January 6.
One week later, Chodounsky recorded his best result ever on the World Cup circuit, placing 10th, the top U.S. finish, in Adelboden, Switzerland on Sunday, January 13. After finishing his first run in 20th place, Chodounsky posted the second-fastest time of the day to move up into 10th place in the final results.
He heads to Wengen, Switzerland for his next World Cup race on Sunday, January 20.
