Powder Alliance unites season pass holders across the west

12 resorts, 17,804 acres and 3,919 inches of fresh powder annually

Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) has partnered with 11 other western resorts to create the Powder Alliance, 12 signature resorts offering free skiing benefits to pass holders from other participating Powder Alliance areas.

The 11 resorts with which CBMR joined include Snowbasin Resort, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Stevens Pass, Timberline, Schweitzer, China Peak, Mountain High, Arizona Snowbowl, Mt. Hood Skibowl, Angel Fire Resort, and Bridger Bowl.
“The Powder Alliance magnifies the value of participating areas and gives winter enthusiasts the variety, flexibility, and affordability to chase magnificent powder at some of the most well-known mountains in the country.” said Scott Clarkson, vice president of sales and marketing for CBMR. “The Powder Alliance is the best value of any group pass product.”
With the purchase of a season pass from any of the partner resorts, skiers and snowboarders of all ages receive three free days at all other participating Powder Alliance areas, plus special offers on lodging, rentals, buddy tickets, and more. This offer applies to top-tier, anytime passes only and not midweek, spring, or other restricted options. Tickets are valid Sunday through Friday, non-holiday, and must be used during the 2013/14 season only.
According to the Powder Alliance marketing team, 33 free days at some of the best resorts in the west makes the Powder Alliance an incredible value and a great winter road trip.
“As a Powder Alliance member, you are free to ski about the western United States and find the best snow conditions and limitless vertical feet at resorts throughout California, Colorado, Utah, Washington and more,” said Powder Alliance spokesperson John McColly.
“Best of all—Powder Alliance benefits are free!” McColly noted. “There are no membership fees, no collective pass prices, no additional charges of any kind. Guests simply show an anytime 2013/14 season pass from any participating Powder Alliance area and receive free skiing benefits up and down the West Coast.”
