The council decided that it would shift the start time of its meetings. They will start regular meetings at 6 p.m. instead of the traditional 7 p.m. start time—that is, if there is no work session planned. If a work session is scheduled on the night of a regular council meeting, the work session will begin at 6 p.m. with the meeting to follow.
Speaking of 6, councilman Jim Schmidt celebrated his 66th birthday at the January 6 meeting.
