Murder-suicide reported in Gunnison

The Gunnison police department has issued a statement about an incident that occurred on Wednesday evening. Members of the department along with officers from the county sheriff’s office and Colorado State Patrol responded to a call of “shots fired” at 421 Tin Cup Drive about 5 o’clock. It appears to have been a murder-suicide.

 

 
According to the statement, upon arrival, officers located two deceased individuals within the residence. Both lived at the house. The deceased have been identified as Jennifer Lembke, 40, and Michael King, 30. A third resident was inside the residence but was not injured.

Members of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are on the scene assisting with the investigation.
