A multi-agency effort is under way to locate a Crested Butte teenager who went missing from the valley at the end of August.

The Mt. Crested Butte Police Department is working with detectives from Grand Junction and Montrose to investigate a “case involving a juvenile runaway from our community,” said Marjorie Trautman, public information officer for the Mt. Crested Butte police. An alert has also been broadcast on the national missing child system.

“We have few, if any, leads in the investigation at this time,” said Trautman. “Our department is requesting that anyone with information, even a small detail, to please contact the Mt. Crested Butte Police Department at (970) 349-6516.”

A missing person flyer describing 17-year-old Anneliese Frame was posted to social media outlets over the weekend. According to the flyer, Frame, who went missing on August 31, was last seen at 6:45 p.m. at the True Value parking lot in Crested Butte.

Again, anyone with information related to the disappearance is asked to contact the Mt. Crested Butte Police Department at (970) 340-6516, the Grand Junction Police Department at (970) 242-6707 or the Gunnison Police Department at (970) 641-8200.
