Fortner sentencing March 24, 25

 A sentencing hearing will be held this week for Brad Fortner, a 53-year-old who was arrested last summer near Almont after allegedly making threats to harm people driving by his house off of Highway 135 and pointing a firearm at a Gunnison County deputy. Fortner has since pleaded guilty to assault for threatening a peace officer with a weapon. His sentence hearing for that case and several other charges to which he has also pleaded guilty will take place on March 24 and 25 beginning at 10 a.m.
