Town picnic
The Mt. Crested Butte annual town picnic is Friday, August 2, from 5-7 p.m. at Ted Scheske Park. RSVP by calling town hall at (970) 349-6632, ext. 113 and bring a side dish to share with eight people.
Speed signs
Town manager Carlos Velado shared that the town has ordered four mobile radar speed limit signs that will be placed at various locations. The signs will collect speeding data and staff will use that data to identify problem locations around town for potential permanent signs.
Rockola Coaster Trail
Earlier this month, the Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association (CBMBA) put in a .37-mile public trail accessed from the West Wall Lodge and West Wall Lift that connects with the San Moritz trail and on to the CBMR trails.
