—INVITATION TO BID—
Gunnison County Public Works

The County of Gunnison, Colorado, will receive sealed bids for the Design and Construction of a 40’ x 60’ steel building at the Gunnison County Public Works Department, 811 Rio Grande Avenue, Gunnison, Colorado, until 4:00 p.m. August 12, 2008.  The project is called the Facilities and Maintenance Storage Building Project.  All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Gunnison County Public Works Conference Room, at the above place and time.
The pertinent features of this project include the design and construction of a 40’ x 60’ steel building to be used for storage of equipment, tools and furniture.  The facility will be located on the south end of the Fred R. Field Western Heritage Center.
The Project Specifications may be obtained in person beginning August 1, 2008 at the following location from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays: Gunnison County Public Works Department, 811 Rio Grande Avenue, Gunnison, CO 81230, (970) 641-0044
The Contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder, which in the sole discretion of the County, is deemed to be in the best interest of the County.  The County reserves the right to accept the bid by a competent bidder that in the County’s opinion will be in the County’s best interest.  The County reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without disclosing the reason therefore.
No bids may be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without consent of Gunnison County, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening of bids.  The successful bidder or bidders will be required to provide proof of insurance and furnish satisfactory performance bonds equal to the full amount of each bid or proposal.

TO BE HELD TUESDAY, AUGUST 12, 2008

Public notice is hereby given that pursuant to law, a Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 The polls will be open from 7:00 A.M till 7:00 P.M at the following sites: Fred Field Western Culture Heritage Center (Multipurpose Building), 275 S. Spruce, Gunnison Co 81230.
Consists of Gunnison County Precincts 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15 east to County line, south to County line and west to County line.

Ballots will be mailed to Somerset and Marble, Precincts 1 and 2.
Early voting will be held at the County Blackstock Government Building Election’s Office, 221 N Wisconsin Ave., Suite C, Gunnison, between 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Monday through Friday beginning August 4, 2008 and ending August 8, 2008.
Application for mail ballots may be sent to 221 N Wisconsin St., Suite C, Gunnison Co 81230 and may be returned to the same address. Applications for mail ballots must contain a date of birth, residence address, and mailing address and are personally signed by the applicant. The last day to file a request to have a mail ballot mailed from the elections office is August 5, 200 but mail ballots may be picked up by the elector at the election office until August 8, 2008. Gunnison Elections Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. Forms may be obtained at the County Clerk’s office. Anyone who needs special
accommodations may contact our Election Office at 641-7927 or 641-7638 prior to the date of election.
