Many thanks on behalf of The Vagina Monologues

To the Editor:
On behalf of the Center for the Arts, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals and businesses who donated time or goods to help make The Vagina Monologues a wonderful event. No show is really “easy” to produce, but this one went smoothly. And there are so many people that added to the experience and the show’s success.

Jamie Booth, Center for the Arts, instrumental in helping me get this show onto the stage and being a consummate professional. Theron Graham, Rob Quint and Two Stars, a super stage crew. Jen Marchitelli, Tracy Freeman, Tina Shoup and Roxana Alvarez, generous women who created our hors d’oeuvres receptions both nights. The Bacchanale, Le Bosquet, Robin Cox, django’s, East Side Bistro, Ginger Café, The Last Steep, Lil’s, lobar, Marchitelli’s Gourmet Noodle, Maxwell’s, Pita’s in Paradise, Princess Wine Bar, Ryce, The Secret Stash, Slogar, Sunflower Deli, The Store and Deli, Teocalli Tamale, The Timberline, and Joanie Windsor for generously donating the tasty fare.
Musicians Jocelyn Smith, Peter Greydanus and Beau et La Bête, filling the lobby with ambiance. Milky Way, Mountain Earth, Handworks, Benson Sotheby’s International Realty, Anna Pogoloff, Alley Hats, The Mountain Store, Four Eighteen and Oh Be Dogful for sponsoring the show. CBMT and Keely Murphy for providing some stage dressing. Tanya Rivers, helping out in the lobby.
And last but not least, my ladies, each one an “eccentric tulip,” giving her time and passion to this project: Tracy Close, Melissa Cunningham, Erin Fowler, Deborah Gillman, Kat Hassebroek, Holly Harmon, Reed Holden, Erin Kelly, Adge Marziano, Linda Oleson, Suzanne Pierson, Diana Riggs, Danielle Rohde, Mary Tuck, Margot Levy, Ness Stepleton and Heidi White.
The show was a benefit performance for Jubilee House in Gunnison and WSC’s Sexual Abuse Prevention Advocates, supporting them in their work to prevent violence against women and girls in the Gunnison Valley and offer education, support and so much more to victims of violent crimes.
We forget the vagina/All of Us/What else would explain/Our lack of awe, our lack of reverence. (The Vagina Monologues)

Sincerely,
