WSC track and field looking strong as it charges into the end of the season

Both men’s and women’s ranked in top 25

Both Western State track and field teams remain nationally ranked, at No. 20 for the men and No. 23 for the women in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national team rankings released this morning. WSC is one of two RMAC schools with both men’s and women’s teams listed in the top 25.
Both teams remained static in the Central Region rankings with the men holding at No. 7 and the women at No. 6.
The Mountaineer men are less than four-tenths of a point from No. 18 Western Washington in the national ranking system, calculated by factoring national performance lists, spacing between rankings in the performance lists and those athletes who qualify in multiple events.
Both teams will compete in the RMAC Championships presented by the Boulder Running Company May 9-11 at Colorado State–Pueblo. Multi-event competition begins May 9 before running and field events begin May 10 at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
