Crested Butte Restaurant Week kicks off

New summer event highlights local dining

If you are looking for a reason to try a restaurant you have been longing to go to, or a good reason to head out for a double date, the time is now.

The inaugural Crested Butte Restaurant Week is June 11-18, offering incredible menus for $88.85 for a party of four. The figure is derived from the elevation in feet of Crested Butte—8,885.
The Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce, the Tourism Association and the Crested Butte News are sponsoring the event. “Crested Butte Restaurant Week came about in an effort to extend the busy season into a beautiful time of year here,” says Chamber operations and member relations manager Kristen Van Hoesen. “Our town boasts exquisite dining and lodging, and what better way to highlight that?”
Participating restaurants will be offering multi-course dinners for $88.85 for a party of four, or $22.21 per person. Special lodging rates will be available during Restaurant Week as well. Restaurant Week has been publicized statewide.
News publisher Melissa Ruch says the hope is that locals and visitors will get out to local participating restaurants for some fine dining, noting, “This is the perfect excuse to head out with friends to sample some of the town’s incredible cuisine and really celebrate the kick off to summer in the Butte.”
