Celebrate nonprofit volunteers

The Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley invites local nonprofits to celebrate the invaluable contributions of their most cherished volunteers.
The Volunteer of the Year award will be presented at the grants ceremony on Thursday, July 16 at the UCC Church in Crested Butte at 4:30 p.m.
The recipient of the award can be a full- or part-time resident of Gunnison County who has demonstrated outstanding service and volunteerism. The person who receives the award will be able to designate a grant for $1,000 for the nonprofit of his or her choice.
Letter nominations are now invited and are due in the foundation office on June 15, 2009. Nomination guidelines are available at www.cfgv.org in the “For Nonprofits” section or by calling 641-8837 for more information.
