Summer Camp at The Studio Art School: Kids ages 5 and up, join us this summer every day, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting June 7. Gravity Groms Active Alpine Day Camps. The Pottery Place is throwing a Kids’ Ice Cream Party on Saturday, June 12 from noon to 2 p.m. Help celebrate our grand reopening for summertime. New Children’s Opera Chorus for kids, ages seven to 12. Learn from and perform with opera greats during the Crested Butte Music Festival. Meet Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from July 11 to August 5 for professional training and other fun activities. There are also rehearsals for five performances, including La Bohème. Town of Crested Butte Parks & Recreation activities are beginning: Choose from Little League baseball, gymnastics, skateboarding, tennis, basketball camp, Cheer Camp, and two soccer camps for youth ages three to 18. Munchkin’s Music and Dance will be singing and dancing to the Pony Collection. The Gunnison Valley Children’s Chorus will offer a summer session, with several performances. Starting June 21, singers will meet Monday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. to work on choral skills, including partner songs, rounds, and harmony singing.
