The Crested Butte Community School middle school cross country program is running strong this season. In a crowd of competition in Leadville last weekend, eighth-grader Jack Duryea was awarded a tee-shirt for his ninth-place finish with a time of 12:04 over the 3k course.
Derek Schomler and Andrea Sainz were not far behind, very much at home on the high, hilly course.
Jack, Derek, Andrea, and coach Christa Merck are looking forward to their “home” meet in Gunnison this weekend. Go Titans!
