Man killed in accident Wednesday morning

Accident still being investigated

A 28-year-old man was killed early Wednesday morning in an accident at a house located in the northwest side of Crested Butte. Noah Daniel Noble was pronounced dead at the Gunnison Valley Hospital. According to Gunnison County coroner Frank Vader it appears that Noble was climbing some stairs in the house when he fell backwards hitting his head on the concrete floor and fracturing his skull.

Noble had recently moved to Crested Butte to work for the ski season. He was from Wofford Heights, California.
According to Crested Butte Assistant Chief Marshal Ted Conner, the officer on duty was called to assist the EMS crew about 2 o’clock in the morning. The man was then transported to the Gunnison Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Conner said the incident is under investigation. “The marshal’s department is ruling this an accident at this time,” Conner said. “We are still investigating the incident of this unattended death and should have more information available to the public by next week.”
