WSCU bikers continue to light up series at Oredigger Challenge

Cody Scott, Angella Vitulli lead overall Omnium series

WSCU Mountain Sports mountain bikers traveled to the Oreddigger MTB Challenge in Granby, Colo. hosted by Colorado School of Mines this past weekend.
The fifth stop of the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Conference saw large fields of riders bidding for national championships qualifying slots.
WSCU team riders competed in four events; downhill, enduro downhill, cross country and short track.
Cody Scott and Angella Vitulli both put in strong rides and lead all Division 2 riders in the Omnium overall standings, respectively.
Graham Ruhman continued to impress as well, having his strongest overall cross country placing of the season finishing second in Division 2. On the gravity side, Owen Tulip, Caleb Woodworth and Scott took first, second and fourth in Division 2 downhill.
This coming weekend the team is racing in the Grand Valley at Colorado Mesa University’s Fruita Fall Flyer. Expect fireworks and impressive riding as the event will be a final test of form before WSCU Mountain Sports travel to Angel Fire, New Mexico for the National Championships, October 19-21.
