July 4 Festivities Schedule for Crested Butte

6:30 a.m. Free shuttle buses will depart for Gothic at the Four-way Stop in Crested Butte, adjacent to the Visitors’ Center (the intersection of Elk Avenue and 6th Street).

7 a.m. – 10 a.m. Crested Butte Fire and EMS Department’s Pancake Breakfast at the fire station in Crested Butte.

8 a.m. Annual Gothic to Crested Butte 1/3 Marathon. Proceeds benefit the Rocky Mountain Biological Lab.

9 a.m. In order for the parade to go as smoothly as possible, floats are requested to begin lining up no later than 9 a.m.

10 a.m. Food Court and Beer Garden opens.

11 a.m. Parade begins down Elk Avenue.

12 p.m.-ish and following parade. Doctor Robert, Music of the Beatles.

12 p.m. Float Contest winners are announced.
12 p.m. Wet Zone water fight begins! Bring your water gun to the end of Elk Avenue to 1st Street. Mt. Crested Butte Fire District vs. The World—prepare to get wet!

2:30 p.m. Pie Eating Contest in front of band stage.

3 p.m. Hot Dog Eating Contest in front of band stage, right after the Pie Eating Contest.

3:30 – 5 p.m. Band “Boston Brass” Center for the Arts outdoor stage.

6 p.m. Food Court closes.

6 – 9:30 p.m. Amber Leigh Band and Glowstick Concert at Red Lady Stage on Mt. Crested Butte and the 50/50 raffle winner will be announced.

The Amber Leigh Band and Glowstick Concert: You can still have some moonlight fun during the Amber Leigh Band concert with free glowsticks. Enjoy food, fun and neon colors, fit for the entire family.
