Snowmaking and last week’s two feet of snow unlock more lifts

Just in time for the holidays, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is on a steady track to open up more and more terrain this week.
The West Wall lift opened on Wednesday, and according to CBMR senior communications manager Sara Lococo, the East River Express is planned to open Thursday with the Prospect lift opening on Saturday. CBMR received nearly two feet of snow in the last week, said Lococo.
“Heading into the weekend, skiers and riders will have access to approximately 600 acres of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain at CBMR,” Lococo said.
