Parent workshop on college financial planning

The CBCS Counseling Office is pleased to host an information session for parents who have children of any age. Fight food insecurity with CB Empty Bowls fundraiser

The Crested Butte Community School National Honor Society Empty Bowls fundraising event will be held on Saturday, March 7 at McGill’s from 5 to 7 p.m. Buy a bowl and taste delicious soup donated from local restaurants. All the proceeds from this event go to families dealing with food insecurity.

This week at the Center get ready for St. Patrick’s Day at the Limerick Writing Workshop (Wednesday, March 11) so your cheeky poems will be perfectly penned for the Limerick Competition at the St. Patrick’s Eve Craic (Monday, March 16). Limericks are due Monday, March 14 so you need to get crackin’! The Difficult Personas workshop (Saturday, March 7) helps you get out of your own head and craft different perspectives into your writing. Sassify your winter warm layers in Sew Fun Embroidered Poncho to hand stitch designs for one of a kind flair (Sunday, March 8). Winter nights are the best for food that builds a comforting fire from the inside – learn some tricks in Slow Cooker, Slow Food (Tuesday, March 10). Semi-private Wheel Throwing Workshops continue on Fridays.

A Night of Caring honors Tough Enough to Wear Pink on March 13

The Gunnison Valley Health Foundation will be hosting A Night of Caring on Friday, March 13 from 6 to 10:30 p.m., at the Center for the Arts in Crested Butte. During this event, Gunnison Valley Health will be honoring Tough Enough to Wear Pink for their dedication and commitment to breast care in the Gunnison Valley. Renowned chef Jason Vernon will be featuring a four-course menu paired with wine from Buckel Family Wine. Habitat applications being taken for local housing
