We are now up to 10 positive, 5 negative, and 34 pending test results. As of 10:30 am we have 144 people self-reporting symptoms. – In order to minimize pressure on the call center and screening site, we ask that you first selfreport online. This form allows our team to track those with symptoms without them calling the call center or coming to the screening sites. Please email callcenter@gunnisoncounty.org New Public Health Orders The new public health orders close hotels, bars, taprooms and all other retail businesses. Restaurants may provide takeout and delivery of food but must comply with the other requirements of the Public Health Order. Construction sites can continue to operate with written consent from the Public Health Director. In order to get written consent, please fill out the following form. The following businesses are exempt from the orders. -Federal, state, local and special district facilities -Public utilities or utility service providers -Grocery stores -Hardware stores -Medical service providers -gas stations -discount department stores.

The following patients with COVID-19 symptoms are asked to please call the call center at 970-641-7660. ● Healthcare workers ● Employed in public safety occupation (e.g., law enforcement, fire fighter, EMS) ● Part of an illness cluster in a facility or institution (e.g., healthcare, school, corrections, shelters) ● With severe lower respiratory illness (hospitalized or fatal) ● With worsening symptoms ● Older than 60 years ● With underlying medical conditions ● Pregnant women ● Had contact with a lab-confirmed COVID-19 patient Assistance programs for those in isolation are underway at a municipal and county wide level. Currently these programs are aimed at helping those who need it most. We ask that you help your neighbors, family, and friends. While our social distancing and public health orders may seem severe, our model is being adopted across the state and possibly beyond. Our number one priority is to ensure the health care and emergency services are available to those that need it most. In order accomplish this, we have to slow the spread of this illness. You can still get outside and recreate, so long as you are practicing social distancing, we encourage everyone to keep up the active lifestyle that our community loves.
