Bringing a new fresh vision

Mt. Crested Butte officially has a new town manager, with Isa Reeb having started her new role at the Mt. Crested Butte town hall on Wednesday.
The town council approved her contract during their March 2 town council meeting, and Reeb also tuned into that evening’s work session discussing marketing the north end of the valley utilizing admissions tax grant funds.
Mayor Janet Farmer said that Reeb’s background in design and her sense of creativity were large factors in the council’s decision to hire her, and she will bring a new fresh vision to the town.
Reeb recently moved to the valley from Denver in preparation for the job, and according to town clerk Tiffany O’Connell, she is staying in Gunnison with a friend until she secures more permanent housing in Mt. Crested Butte. Reeb also has the opportunity to move into one of the town’s Homestead affordable housing units currently under construction, upon the project’s completion.
Carlos Velado, who has served as the interim town manager since September, will resume his role as assistant town manager.
