Local woman’s cause of death confirmed

Sixty-year-old Jan Parker passed away March 12 while skiing with friends near the Friends Hut up Brush Creek. Gunnison County coroner Michael Barnes determined that Parker suffered from a ruptured aortic dissection. Our condolences go out to all of Parker’s friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 6, from 4-7 p.m. at the Crested Butte Nordic Center’s Magic Meadows Yurt.
