July 3

4:30 p.m. — Gates open for Mt. CB Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks at the CBMR Base Area

5:00 p.m. — Live music begins

9:15 p.m. — Fireworks from the Mt. Crested Butte Base Area

July 4

7-11 a.m. — Pancake Breakfast, 306 Maroon Ave, Firehouse #1

8:30 a.m. — Fourth of July Vendor Village, Elk & Third St.

9 a.m. — Float line up, Elk & Seventh St.

9:30 a.m. —Vendor Village opens, Elk & Third St.

10:30 a.m. — Emcees and DJ banter begins, Elk & Third St.

11 a.m. — Parade begins, Elk Avenue

12:30 p.m. — Water fight begins, Big Mine Ice Arena

12:30 p.m. — Floyd Bauler Band and Block Party, Elk & Third St.

2:30 p.m. — Block Party ends, Elk & Third St.

5:30 p.m. — Music on the Mountain with Floodgate Operators, Mt. Crested Butte Base Area

Mountain Express July Fourth parade stop and route diversions

On July 4, Mountain Express’s buses will be on a 20-minute schedule all day. During the Fourth of July Parade and Street Party we will not provide service the following stops: Old Town Hall, The Nordic Center, and Whiterock Avenue at Third and Fourth Streets.  Please allow yourself time to walk to the bus stop. Regular service will resume to these stops when the Elk Avenue Parade and Street Party are finished.

Continuing this summer:  FirstTracks On Mountain is an on demand, fare free public transportation service in North Mt. Crested Butte. FirstTracks will pick you up at your front door and transport you anywhere in the service area, including Mountaineer Square. FirstTracks On Mountain service runs through September 1. For more information and to view the service area map, please visit our website and the app (available now!) to schedule your ride today… Your next adventure, on demand!

New this summer: FirstTracks on demand is now running our Late-Night service, servicing anywhere in the North Gunnison Valley, including CB South, Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. This service can be booked via the FirstTracks app (available for download in Google Play and App Stores). This is a fare-based service ($15-$25 per passenger based on trip). The service will run between 10 p.m.-2:30 a.m. FirstTracks Late Night is scheduled to run daily through October 18.
