COLD START

The annual Alley Loop Nordic race brought hundreds of racers (and some moose) to the streets, alleys and trails of Crested Butte. The 9 a.m. start had sub-zero temperatures but no one was deterred from racing. For more photos see page 12.  photo by Robby Lloyd
