Super Tour Postponed to March 17
Due to this week’s abundant snowfall, and the resultant avalanche danger, the Super Tour was postponed. It will now take place Saturday, March 17. Registration is at the Nordic Center from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. the day of the event; the race starts at 8 a.m. This beautiful race starts at the Gothic winter trailhead, heads up over trail 403, and ends at the Washington Gulch trailhead. This is a backcountry race so shovels, probes, beacons, and full skins are required. Come out to race for speed, or enjoy the scenery as a tour.
The Crested Butte Nordic Center is a full-service cross-country ski center providing professional lessons and complete rental packages for skate and classical skiing, as well as ice skating, snowshoeing, and sledding. The Nordic Center maintains approximately 55 kilometers of groomed trails via four trailheads, around the scenic outskirts of Crested Butte.
