School Board amends budget in face of mill levy override
The Re1J Board of Education has moved to amend the fiscal year 2014-2015 budget as a result of several factors, primarily the recent approval by voters of the mill levy override. Due to allocations and transfers, general fund revenue available to meet general fund expenditures are now budgeted at $15,435,333, a $108,296 increase from the original budget. However, total fund expenditures have decreased by $36,823, due to the culmination of minor adjustments throughout the entire budget.

From the newly created mill levy fund, $514,788.38 will be directed to the district’s Capital Reserve Fund for the purpose of setting aside $150,000 for future curriculum and $364,788.38 for future capital investments. An allocation of $50,542 is being made to the Marble Charter School based upon this school’s enrollment proportional to the total district enrollment.
