Gunnison Valley RTA is expanding bus service in the valley this winter

Starting on November 21, the RTA is increasing bus service to 25 round trips. This schedule provides almost 50 percent more service than last year to accommodate continuing demand.

Riders can access real-time bus arrival information using the free Transit app.

Two buses running on clean and green natural gas are being used this year as part of the RTA fleet with two more CNG buses to arrive in 2019. These buses have been partially funded by CDOT and the FTA, which continue to be great supporters of your RTA.

A new stop at Ohio Creek is being added to the route starting November 21 and the RTA has added shelters at both the Tall Texan and Ohio Creek stops to improve the rider experience. Push-button lights attached to each shelter signal bus drivers to stop when riders are present at night.

To accommodate the addition of the new Ohio Creek bus stop, the stop at Spruce and Virginia in Gunnison will no longer be serviced. Please use nearby stops on Highway 50 at Safeway or at 11th and Virginia instead.

Bus schedules are available at the RTA website, www.gunnisonvalleyrta.org.

Please contact the RTA executive director, Scott Truex, at struex@gunnisonvalleyrta.org with any questions.
