Paradise Lift up and running after multiple closures last week

Electrical complications

Last week, Paradise Lift closed several times throughout the weekend starting with an emergency evacuation on Friday, January 10. The Painter Boy Lift has also closed multiple times, and while both lift closures were electrical-related, CBMR assures that both lifts are up and running again without issue.

“While we’ve had to temporarily pause operations of Painter Boy and Paradise Lifts earlier this season for maintenance, they’re both up and running again without issue,” said CBMR communications manager Katie Lyons. “The complications these lifts experienced were electrical in nature. Both Painter Boy and Paradise Lift use upgraded electrical systems, so wear and tear was not the cause.”

Lyons also explained Friday’s evacuation process from the Paradise Lift. “All guests were safely cleared from the lift by running a backup engine to get passengers to the top. Once all guests had arrived at the top, the lift was shut down so the maintenance team could work on troubleshooting and resolving the issue.”

She added, “Guest safety remains our top priority at CBMR, and should lift issues arise in the future, our team is prepared to handle them.”
