Former school district worker pleads not guilty

Trial set for September

Former Gunnison RE1J District psychologist Patrick Robinson pled not guilty Tuesday to charges of “Interference with School—Credible Threat,” a Class 1 misdemeanor.

A trial date is set for September, when Robinson will face charges resulting from his actions in December, 2017 that led to a district-wide school lockdown. Robinson is alleged to have made threatening remarks during a Gunnison High School meeting on December 21, remarks that were enough to set into motion the district’s emergency procedures plan.

According to Robinson’s defense attorney, Jon Schumacher, more than 150 pages of discovery have been entered by the prosecution as part of this case.
