County officials hold planning retreat in Mt. Crested Butte

New strategic plan is topic of discussion

The Gunnison Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and senior staff held a two-day retreat last month in Mt. Crested Butte and began the process of updating the county’s strategic plan. County manager Matthew Birnie said via email that the starting point is the BOCC’s existing plan, and “some of the things in that plan have been completed, some are not ‘due’ yet, and some new results will be added.”
Birnie said once the BOCC has a draft document, they would schedule that discussion for an upcoming work session and it would ultimately have to be approved at a regular BOCC meeting.
