Briefs: Mt. Crested Butte

By Kendra Walker

Community grants

The Mt. Crested Butte town council agreed to work with the Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley (CFGV) to help the town administer its 2025 Community Grants instead of reviewing requests internally. The town plans to budget $125,000 for 2025 to go toward local nonprofits seeking funding support. The Community Grants Review Committee will review and score all applications from Mt. Crested Butte-eligible organizations and determine to what extent each application will be funded.

Upcoming meetings

To accommodate Election Day, the Mt. Crested Butte town council will hold its first meeting in November on Wednesday, November 6. The council will also hold a budget work session on October 15.
