Trezise arraignment scheduled for Friday

Out-of-town judge will handle the case

The Gunnison County Deputy Attorney being charged with four counts related to an accusation that he tipped off a former Crested Butte South client last spring about a search warrant appeared in county court Tuesday, January 13.

Since none of the charges Arthur Trezise faces qualified for a preliminary hearing, his arraignment will take place in District Court at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 16.
When district attorney Thom LeDoux asked if the assigned judge would be biased due to Trezise’s profession and position in the community, Judge Ben Eden replied that every judge in the district had refused the position and Senior Judge Terry Ruckriegel from Breckenridge would act as the judge in the case.
